they performed the repair, i got home, the transmission stuck!
i cant believe the a company like jaguar would use cheap quality products i actually feel cheated for paying 56-57 lac rupees for the car.
i'm 43, and perhaps right at the target market for this xf, and decided a week ago to pull the trigger on a 3 year lease.

the quality of the interior, the handling, the sound of the v8 all seemed superior by comparison.
i have a very positive review for the cars driving performance but cheap quality plastics used inside the car doesn't make it feel upmarket or premium neither does the customer support of jaguar is helping the cause.

some of the possible causes i've been given from the service people make no sense.
it's one of the few cars i've ever driven that got the adrenalin pumping (in sport mode).

all but one (transmission shifter recall) were minor nuisances that didn't stop the vehicle and were handled quickly by the jaguar dealer.
no real troubles out of it and i have 270k miles on it and have had it since 04.
don't buy jaguar xf 2010 unless you want to fix brake pads every 10,000 miles at $350.00 and buy new tires at $380.00 each every 10,000 milea.
took it to service they "fixed" it and now one month later i'm home stranded again with the same problem.

i think the buick had the best electronics, lighting, and price...but power and front wheel drive left me cold.

bought my silver awd '13 xf new year's eve 2013.
i especially enjoy the bower and wilkins sound system, the smooth effortless power delivered by the v8 5.0.
power at your command, with great handling and cornering without sacrificing luxury.
i never thought i would buy a jaguar.
the quality of the interior, the handling, the sound of the v8 all seemed superior by comparison.
i miss the chrome around side windows but this does have the "what's in-style" look!
great value for the money!
you know the sound of a crappy old ny cab.

for a large, heavy awd, acceptable mpg, overall i'm getting ~20mpg.
however, the design and the feel won me over to give it a try.
that's unacceptable for a car that's a year old.
while looking at mercedes i stumbled upon a 2011 xf.

from my most current situation where my car cannot be properly be fueled without disengaging the gas pump every two seconds when it's being fueled, that makes it almost impossible to refuel at the gas station.

for the price of the car and the service i received, i am not sure i would lease another jaguar again.
the fact that it has now happened twice makes me think that it is actually a design flaw.

my only concern in buying the jaguar was reliability - no problems to report after a month though so maybe the demons are history.

i'll start by saying that for the price, the looks of this car inside and out are amazing.

i have an lr2 coming off lease and was considering the jag xf, audi a6, mercedes e350 and bmw 335 or 5 series as my next car.

i'll start by saying that for the price, the looks of this car inside and out are amazing.
for a large, heavy awd, acceptable mpg, overall i'm getting ~20mpg.
it had a lighter steering feel and a better nav system.
can't help wondering how much better the 5.0 liter engine would be.
i just picked my 2010 xfr and love it; a rocket on wheel with a luxury drive.
car totally without power twice...problem was battery cable coming loose.
nevertheless, i would not trade it for any of the 4-wheel drive options out there.
now the gas gauge on the dashboard does not work.
got a very nice deal off the window sticker.

there are two modes normal and sport , in normal we dont get that much of power where as when it is in sport mode it just glides the road ,that sporty handling gives a special star in xf.
good highway gas mileage, 27- 28 if i'm cruising at a relaxed pace of 70 mph.
paddle shifters are a kick.
i've had it for about 2 yrs and first problem was at 7k miles i needed new brakes.
this car is so smooth on the road that it is easy to loose sense of the speed you are going at.
the massive torque and power this car has is amazing for not only the sheer force but how easy it is to access it.
i miss the chrome around side windows but this does have the "what's in-style" look!
the jaguar is a wonderful car to drive with plenty of power and a luxurious interior.

interior is incredible by design and the finish is beautiful.
it is fast, handles very well and, with all wheel drive, suits my driving requirements.

the engine of the car has a sweet sound.
don't even bother getting satellite radio installed because it will go out every 3 minutes.
there is no lack of power at any stage.
loved it for the first 2k miles until the tire sensor light came on.
the car lights up like a christmas tree.
from the moment you enter the car, see the start bottom start to pulse, and hit the button, you get this adrenaline rush as the car starts to growl, ready to pounce on its next road victim.

the interior styling and materials are beautiful, there is unneed complexity in the other cars.
new tires at 13,000 miles, brakes at 18,000 miles.
my verdict is that the jaguar xf is a car which you can buy undoubtedly for its performance, safety, comfort etc.......
it has become stuck in p (ark) or d(rive) and won't move, rendering car useless and a call to jaguar roadside assistance.
the sensor to the fuel pump told it that i had no gas, even though there was almost half a tank so the fuel pump shut down.
huge trunk, folding seats and very useful.

this car needs a 3000 mile break in - suspension is stiff early.

this wonderful fun stylish car has left me stranded on the road with the transmission stuck in drive twice.
the only drawback is that it does not have a 4-wheel drive option, which can be an issue in the northeast, especially this past winter.

screen locks up - have to disconnect battery repeatedly.
i have yellow lights, red lights, white lights all going off at different times.

engine warning lights, blown manifold gaskets, inoperable gas cover (try that when on empty), recalls, rear brakes gone at 15k with tires right behind and today dead in the garage and pulled out by a towing service (wonder what damage they did) after nume

the engine and seating and turbo is to die for.
i was a bit hesitant going from an xkr to an xf - but the ride is excellent, great acceleration, and very good handling.
i wasn't even going to buy a new car, but when the dealer parked it and kept it running, that purr from the quad exhaust was more temptation then i could shake.

the engine has a nice growl to it and is quick off the mark
i also got the dealer installed chrome package which comes with 18 chrome wheels, chrome side air vents, chrome rearview mirror covers and dark tinted windows.
huge trunk, folding seats and very useful.
best trunk size compared to other cars at that price.
from faulty tire pressure sensors and faulty tires, terrible roadside assistance, the worst.

engine, transmission and performance are so smooth.
3,800 miles engine light (supercharger gasket), 12,700 miles trunk would not close (trunk latch replaced), 14,900 miles tire sensor (resulted in a front tire blow out), 16,000 miles engine light (thermostat replaced), 16,200 miles engine light (vacuum tub
the exhaust note is to die for.
no other vehicle had the same level of trim, performance and outright fun factor for anything close to the price.
screen locks up - have to disconnect battery repeatedly.
if they had kept the technology simple, this would have been a much better car.

system a tad quicker to maneuver around..aside from those little things, this car is exceptional..i was concerned with a rear wheel drive in the snow, but with the snow tires and winter mode,no problem in heavy snow...
however, it is difficult to start the car sometimes with this keyless technology.

by now, a significant portion of the car has been replaced by jag - including several internal lights, the entire fuel system, parts of the audio system, and most recently all the carpeting and even the front seats.....and they're still not done!!!
i've always driven manual transmission cars, but the 8-speed auto has won me over.
while it may not be as modern as other infotainment systems, the xf is fairly simple and logical in operation.
bought my silver awd '13 xf new year's eve 2013.
i have not had to take it in except for its annual checkup at 10k miles - there have been no mechanical or electrical issues at all.
i had it in the shop four times for interior lights that would come on by themselves, three times for a fuel door that would not open, blown supercharger gasket and the final straw when i was stranded for three hours waiting for a tow because the car woul

the second time in as many weeks that the tow truck have had to tow for the gear shifter.
the real heartbreak is that now at 22,000 miles my transmission/gear shift knob doesn't work!
navigation and touchscreen are a bit slow and dated, but i don't use them much so not bothersome.
i think the buick had the best electronics, lighting, and price...but power and front wheel drive left me cold.
coming to the interiors the jaguar xf of mine has a two toned interior brown and black which is more youthful and luxury enough .practicallity wise it is a good car interms of practicallity it has a good amount of space for those small storage .
